Sample itinerary: 8 days in Egypt
Day 1:
- Arrive in Cairo in the morning
- Airport pick up in an air conditioned car
- Check into hotel and enjoy lunch in your room
- Take Felucca boat ride on the Nile River to watch the sunset
- Light and Sound show of the Pyramids
- Eat dinner after show
Day 2:
- Be ready at 0900 to start day off in Sakkara and Memphis
- Enjoy the New Kingdom and Old Kingdom Pyramids
- On the way to Giza, stop by a Carpet School and learn different ways of making Egyptian rugs and the different styles they have of rugs
- Drive over to Pyramids and take guided camel or horse ride
- Eat lunch after tour
- ATV ride through the desert with views of Pyramids
- Go to jewelry shop in Giza to see demonstration on how to write name on a Cartouche (kings, and sometimes others, encircled their name hieroglyphs with a design)
- Return to hotel to freshen up before dinner cruise
- Dinner cruise on the Nile River
Day 3:
- Be ready at 0900 to start day to head to Cairo for city tour
- Go to Egyptian National Museum with full tour of artifacts
- Free time at Museum
- Go to Hanging Church, one of the oldest Orthodox Churches in the World
- Visit either Mohammed Ali Mosque or Amr Ibn al-As, the oldest Mosque in Africa
- Enjoy lunch
- Stop by Egyptian Fragrance Oil store and watch demonstration on how to use different types of oils
- Head back to hotel
Day 4:
- Be ready at 0900 to travel to Alexandria
- After 2 hour drive, arrive in Alexandria
- Explore the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa and Pompey’s Pillar
- Explore the Citadel of Qaitbay
- Eat lunch overlooking the Mediterranean
- Travel back to Cairo
Day 5:
- Be ready at 0700 to take car ride to the White Desert
- After 5 hour drive, arrive at meeting point to eat lunch
- Take jeep to explore the Black Desert, Hot/Cold Springs, Flower Stone, Crystal Mountain, and go Sand Boarding
- Make camp in White Desert and eat dinner
- Spend the night
Day 6:
- Explore the White Desert
- Head to Cairo
- Freshen up and rest at hotel for 5 hours
- Head to airport for flight to Luxor
- Arrive in Luxor late at night and head to hotel, with airport pick up
Day 7:
- Sleep in and start day at 1330
- Take Felucca boat ride on the Nile River
- Explore East Bank of Luxor: Luxor Temple and Karnak Temple
- Return to hotel for dinner
Day 8:
- Be ready at 0430 to go on hot air balloon ride
- Spend 2 hours up in the air, watching the sun rise
- Head back to hotel
- After resting up, be ready at 0730
- Explore West Bank of Luxor: Valley of the Kings/Queens, Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut
- Head back to the airport for flight back to Cairo
- Arrive in Cairo in the evening
- Airport pick up and relax at hotel
Day 9:
- Pick up from hotel
- Drop off at airport
